Rumen Surdzhiyski was born on 24 September 1943 in Glozhene, Vratsa Province, Bulgaria. Hristo Petkov was born in 1987 in the city of Vratsa, Bulgaria. In 2010 he received his degree in Engineering design from The Technical University of Sofia. Afterwards, he worked as a visuals effects artist at World Wide Effects. In 2013, together with the producer Kalin Iliev, Hristo established the production studio Wonder Swamp LTD. There he worked as a writer and director and created many commercials for international brands like Microsoft, Samsung, Lexus, Renault, Shell, Visa, Unicef and Nivea, to name but a few. In 2019 Petkov graduated from Bournemouth University with a Master Degree in Directing for Film and Television. Hristo has directed the films A Common Connection, The President's Speech, 1, 2, 3... Until You Find Me, Balloonhead, Vratsa Software Society and Game On. His film "1, 2, 3... Until You Find Me" won a visual excellence award at the Quarantine Film Festival. "A Common Connection" was screened at the 2016 Sofia International Film Festival and received a standing ovation.
